Now is the time to unite our minds for world peace. People from all walks of life who share a vision with UNIQLO participated in creating T-shirts with a desire for peace. Proceeds from the sale of all charity t-shirts are donated to international organizations that help people suffering from poverty, discrimination, violent conflict, and war.

Lindokuhle Sobekwa (Lindokuhle Sobekwa)

Magnum Photos (Magnum Photos)/I started photography in 2012 after participating in the educational program “Of Soul and Joy” in the Tokoza district outside Johannesburg, South Africa. Early projects covered local poverty and unemployment, but later works will focus on her life, including her relationship with her sister Ziyanda, who died after being desired by her family. In March 2023, she was announced as the first John Kobal Fellowship recipient to be awarded by Tate Modern (Tate Modern) in the UK. She was nominated for Magnum Photos in 2018 and became a member in 2022.

'I learn a lot from the people I photograph. Working with people at the AW-Barre refugee camp, I wanted to talk about hopes, dreams, and recovery through photos. I also wanted to metaphorically express a rainbow symbolizing “hope” and “promise for a better future” along with an impressive message I received from one of the people I worked with. This picture is also a depiction of the daily lives of Somali refugees living in the Jijiga (Jijiga) region of Ethiopia, which borders Somalia. '
